This project arose from the need to shorten on-site execution times to ensure that our client's client can enjoy the opening of this complex-shaped pool in their facilities, which adds great added value to their hotel. Thanks to the capacity of EP-elementS, its work methodology prior to the construction of any pool with our PASSIVE POOLS system, we managed to design together with the project management and our client the optimal solution to carry out this project during the licensing procedures, all on architectural plans and taking our modular pieces to the millimetre. This glass was designed taking into account that it had to be raised to the roof of a 12-storey hotel. That is why, together with our product design department, we designed the right sizes so that the pieces could be lifted up to the construction site and, at the same time, be easy to install.

Innovation in panels and circular walls

Easy installation
It is composed of several structural elements that allow a good assembly. At the beginning of the installation, 2000x1000mm panels are provided for the formation of the floor, these have the necessary holes for the bottom pipe and, thanks to our machining robot, the perimeter contour is made for the placement of circular walls. This technique gives us an advantage, we do not have to make any staking out for the placement of curved walls, which is always a great advance.

Once we have levelled the floor and checked all measurements, we started with the installation of walls, interior benches with hydromassage and beds with air blowing accessories. All these elements, walls supplied with wall bushings, benches and beds with machined holes for air accessories, are glued to the existing floor structure.

Finally, and thanks to our PASSIVE POOLS system, our design department thought that the best option, due to the size of the project, was to leave the placement of the overflow pieces for the last phase. With this we were able to use laser levels to level the sheet of water to the millimetre so that the water overflow would be perfect.

Once we have the whole structure assembled, we proceed to the realisation of:
  • Laying of pipes in the factory-marked openings
  • Pressure testing of glued pipe in situ
  • Backfilling and sealing with waterproof technical mortars
  • Sealing of pipe outlets into the vessel
  • Application of waterproofing and watertightness test
