Our product is a material that is not biodegradable due to the use for which it is intended in the shaping of products such as ceramic or structural supports. However, we have a sustainable manufacturing where all our unused material is recycled and reused in other manufacturing processes.

Physical properties that it provides to construction elements

Thermal resistance and thermal conductivity

The thermal resistance of a material represents the ability of the material to oppose the flow of temperature.

In the case of homogeneous materials, it is the ratio between the thickness and the thermal conductivity of the material; in inhomogeneous materials the resistance is the inverse of the thermal conductance.

Deformable and able to regain its previous shape

When a material is subjected to a force (load, stress or tension), a deformation occurs in it.

If when the force ceases the material returns to its primitive (initial) dimensions, we will say that it has undergone an elastic deformation, the material has only undergone a temporary dimensional change.

Resistant to bending, compression and traction forces

The elements of a structure must withstand, in addition to their own weight, other external forces and loads that act on them.

Depending on their position within the structure and the type of forces that act on them, the elements or parts of the structures support different types of stress.

Low water absorption compared to white EPS

Behavior towards water: Expanded polystyrene is not hygroscopic.

Even submerging the material completely in water, the absorption levels are minimal, with values ranging between 1% and 3% by volume (immersion test after 28 days).

Great insulating capacity

In construction it is used as a material to lighten and as thermal insulation.

It comes in many thicknesses and densities ranging from 10 to 80 Kg / m3, with a thermal conductivity of between 0.029 and 0.053 W / (mK).

Self-extinguishing material

It is the ability of a material to stop burning once the heat source that produces flames has been removed.

Lightness in the formation of load-bearing structures

Thanks to the physical properties of our product, we will be able to carry out constructive solutions where the weight, due to the low specific density of EPS, will be fundamental, allowing us to carry out works where it could not be done before.

Easily manipulated in our factory to achieve any type of design that suits the needs of the architecture project, both using our CNC machinery and later on site using manual methods.

Our product, in its different aspects, has both water-repellent and waterproof properties.

Constructive solutions carried out through the use of EPS

Product design and development for the conformation of the optimal solution of a large-scale project where the great difficulty was the realization of the 3D model together with its reverse engineering to carry out its mountable design on site.

We show one of the most innovative applications of our PASSIVE POOL system where our ability to make custom elements is used to execute renovations and image changes in the interiors of existing concrete vessels. In this case, our client carried out the remodeling of a 10.00x5.00m pool glass.

One of the largest and most complex pools made with our PASSIVE POOL system, it is a glass executed on a steel plate made in a rehabilitation of a hotel on the beachfront. This glass measures 15.00x3.00m of water sheet and has three glass fronts.
